The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an International lay Catholic organization whose mission is: To live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy. The Mission implies that as Vincentians, we see Christ in anyone who suffers, comes together as a family, have personal contact with the poor and help in all possible ways.
Members of the Society are committed to turning concern into action. The primary goal and purpose of the Society is to serve and to minister to all the poor without making any distinctions of creed, ethnicity, social background, health, gender, or political opinions, and to promote their dignity in accordance with Christian values and the philosophy of the Society as expressed in the rules that govern our organization.
Being an international organization, we provide maximum assistance by caring for the immediate needs of the poor. We also come together as one big family to provide support to conferences around the parish/province/country/globally that do not have sufficient funds or resources.
The Vincentians at St. Francis Xavier Parish conduct phone and or home visits and provide grocery gift cards to our neighbors in need. In addition we have summer camps for both boys and girls. At Christmas, we support the families or individuals that we have helped though the year with our Christmas outreach program that provides gift cards for food and by the help of the Peel Police Toys for Tots program we have provided toys to all kids upto age 13, helping them celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Our Provincial Ozanam fund project has helped us support a few of our qualified individuals in need, with their fees and education expenses. We have also worked with Basket Brigade Canada to personally bring groceries to our neighbors in need at thanksgiving.

Should we receive calls from clients from outside our boundaries, we are happy to provide details of the parish conference closest to their residence.
