Our conference is made up of lay persons/volunteers who yearn to fulfil their Christian faith by serving any of our neighbours in need with love and care.
Our volunteers are focused on working together to maintain and execute our services and programs. Most importantly, we ensure that immediate and emergency support is given to our neighbours in need.
Our Commitment :
Home Visitations has always been the core work of our Vincentian volunteer members. All through the pandemic we have assisted by phone. Loneliness is growing, especially among the elderly, so members spend a lot of time listening and comforting them with an effort to reduce their feeling of isolation.
Vincentians visit/listen to people in need to provide them respect, friendship, spiritual and material assistance and to assist them in dealing with their poverty and disadvantage.
People may call the Society if in need of a compassionate ear, emergency assistance in the form of food, clothing, furniture, bus tickets to help them get to their medical appointments or for information that will help access appropriate services.
We have predominantly helped single parents, sick, elderly, low income families, refugees and immigrants.
The assistance from our donors helps to further our mission to help those in need. Their support is invaluable to us and we greatly appreciate their support and sacrifice.
Whether you are a business or a family, donating allows you to make a direct impact in our community. Your tax-deductible contribution will help children and their families gain pride and help uplift them in their time of need.
For local businesses, sponsorship allows you to elevate your community profile through recognition of the contributions to the Mississauga community. Here are some of the programs that need your help.

In Paris, he was haunted by the misery of the poor and campaigned for justice and charity. His faith enabled him to see Christ in the poor and clearly stated: "Our aim is to keep the faith and to spread it among others
by means of charity."
He was beatified by Pope John Paul II in the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris in 1997. His feast day is 9 September.
Saint Vincent de Paul (1581 – 1660) was a French Catholic priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor. He was renowned for
his compassion, humility and generosity.
We have an amazing team of volunteer members at St. Francis Xavier Church in Mississauga.
We take our convictions and turn them into action.
